Christmas

I missed the mistletoe and the old Christmas movies on TV
I missed classic songs on the radio
I missed the scent of the church, the sounds of choir
I missed the quiet rings of bells
the school events
the gifts exchange
the giant Christmas trees
the decorations
the best time of the year
the special feelings

I missed writing to Santa Claus
I missed imagining what presents I would get

but this year..
I'm grateful all the same
