An August Entry

I'm down with flu these couple of days. It's a long weekend holiday tomorrow till early next week, and I'm thinking I could continue where I left off with my current writing project. It's a novel for the older audience (so not a teenlit this time), and we'll see how it goes.

Anyway, on my wishlist this week: Graceling, Q&A Journal, Film Listopia and a Reading Journal. I really want all four, but tomorrow is a 24-hour-deal day with BookDepository so I'll have to see whether any other book will catch my eye :)

Watched Total Recall yesterday and while I think Kate Beckinsale is so bad-ass and the rest pales in comparison, I have to say Phillip K Dick is an inspiration. The execution of the movie is actually quite well done, I love the grimy setting and the whole dystopian feel.

I'm also kind of sad that Multiply will shut down its blog services next month. That pretty much means my old Multiply blog won't be running anymore. It's sad because I have fond memories of that blog, with so many friends I've made along the way, and the online shopping I've done via Multiply. I also used to post my short stories and journal entries there, both public and private, back before I was active with this blog, and there's no full backup so they will be lost. This also serves as an official announcement that my Multiply blog will be inactive and my blog here will be my official one.
